For the price, we're impressed with the 8.5 amp motor and variable speed, all the way from 0 to 2,400 strokes per minute--plenty for whatever your project needs. Also high on our list is the fact that it weighs only 6.8 pounds. If you've ever hefted one of the higher-end models, you'll appreciate the light weight, especially noticeable when you're cutting over your head and in other awkward positions. You'll really be pleased with the tool-free blade-change system; it's fast, easy and foolproof.
